This will temporarily mute your current tab – and not the entire website. Once this new mute option is introduced, users can simply click the speaker icon that appears on an audio playback tab.
However, this option may not always be an ideal option because it completely disables the audio playback feature of websites. Choosing this option will mute all tabs on that particular website until you unmute them.
